Summit Radiology, a teleradiology practice based in northeast Indiana serving more than 50 locations across the United States, signed an agreement with Merge, an industry leader in medical imaging solutions, to provide Merge PACS, Merge VNA, and cloud-based Merge Workflow Orchestrator. These solutions will be implemented by spring 2025.

“Our mission is to provide the highest possible standard of care to our patients, and we need a robust set of technology capabilities to support our clinicians,” said Summit Radiology Chief Information Officer Greg Michael. “Merge accommodates our unique workflow and enables us to have a single worklist to launch multiple PACS viewers.”

Summit Radiology sought to replace its existing solution, it prioritized both increased functionality and a strong support team.

Organizations are focused on maintaining high-quality care, and often need tailored technology workflows to meet their patients’ needs. We are delighted to work with Summit Radiology to provide a robust suite of imaging solutions to meet the needs of their technical and clinical teams.

To meet Summit Radiology’s needs, Merge partnered with AbbaDox to provide a client portal that supports their complex workflow, particularly in scenarios where a hospital’s HL7 interface experiences interruptions. In addition, AbbaDox will serve as the main source for final report distribution through its Cloud Fax and Referring Physician Portal.

“Ensuring that clinical workflows and reporting are uninterrupted is key to supporting patient care,” said Adam Dagan, VP of Sales at AbbaDox. “With our solution, Summit Radiology will not only have seamless final report distribution but also the flexibility to manage potential workflow disruptions effectively. We are proud to collaborate with Merge in delivering this tailored solution.”
