Merative names Ashish Sant as General Manager for Merge

Effective today, 12 April 2023, Ashish Sant will lead Merge, Merative’s industry-leading portfolio of medical imaging solutions that helps healthcare organizations improve patient outcomes and care delivery.

With nearly three decades of experience in healthcare technology and a focus on medical imaging, Ashish is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and operational success for complex global businesses.

As Senior Vice President/General Manager at Change Healthcare (McKesson) and later in a similar role at Bracco, Ashish held global leadership roles with responsibility for strategy, growth, profitability, and operational success. He oversaw businesses that developed radiology and cardiology workflow solutions and related portfolio of imaging products, as well as medical imaging contrast injector devices and software.

Ashish began his imaging career as a software engineer at ALI Technologies (later acquired by McKesson), and eventually led the Imaging R&D function for McKesson’s Radiology and Cardiology solutions, ensuring scalability and agility of the organization and technology before taking on increased responsibilities in general manager roles.

In addition to his corporate roles, Ashish has mentored, coached, and consulted with several local and international startups through Simon Fraser University Venture Labs and e@UBC (University of British Columbia) technology accelerators in the Vancouver (Canada) area. He also served on the board of Digital Supercluster, an independent organization created by the Canadian government to accelerate R&D investments and technology adoption in several industry verticals, including healthcare.

Ashish received his bachelor’s degree in electronics and telecommunications, and his master’s degree in computer science from India before immigrating to Vancouver, Canada.
