Merge at RSNA 2023: Bringing digital pathology, availability on Microsoft Azure, and expanded 3D printing to Merge Imaging Suite
That’s a wrap on RSNA 2023! Thank you to all our customers and partners who met with us or stopped by our booth – you are what makes this show such a successful one for us every year, and our face-to-face meetings are invaluable opportunities to further refine our imaging solutions.
At this year’s RSNA, we showcased some exciting new developments, including new innovation to our cloud-enabled Merge Imaging Suite that will help clients along their journey to the cloud and improve workflow efficiency. Here are four exciting capabilities of Merge Imaging Suite we showcased at RSNA 2023:
Evolution of Merge Imaging Suite
We have one of the broadest portfolios and are among the most experienced in imaging – across radiology, cardiology, and enterprise imaging – and we’ve introduced innovative new updates to Merge Imaging Suite to improve workflow efficiency for clinical teams. This includes an automated caseload distribution algorithm integrated into Merge Workflow Orchestrator, which, according to new clinical research, helps distribute cases across reading teams about 30% more equitably than when done manually. Enhancements like these will continue to help imaging organizations along their path to modernization.

Digital pathology with Indica Labs
Merge is now officially partnering with Indica Labs, a leading provider of AI-powered digital pathology solutions, to seamlessly integrate digital pathology into Merge imaging solutions. This partnership will enable a joint offering – combining Indica Labs’ industry-leading HALO AP with Merge Imaging Suite – that healthcare providers can use to complete the longitudinal patient imaging record.

Availability on Microsoft Azure
Merge is now transactable on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. This means that Merge clients can now help reduce their Azure commitments with our imaging solutions. Our expansion into the Azure Marketplace reflects not only the Merge Imaging Suite’s growing cloud footprint (and expansion of a hybrid-cloud ecosystem) but also our commitment to meeting our customers’ needs, wherever they are on their enterprise imaging cloud journey.

3D printing with Ricoh
Thanks to our expanding partnership, Ricoh and Merge are making it easier for hospitals and clinicians to access the RICOH 3D for Healthcare Platform via the new PACS Print Gateway, progressing our shared goals of streamlining workflows so that more clinicians, and more patients, can easily access patient-specific solutions and insights.

Between our experience at RSNA and the product launches, partnerships, and expanded capabilities we’ve announced over the last few weeks, Merge is well equipped to help imaging organizations wherever they are in their transformation journeys.
Thanks to everyone we met at RSNA, stopped by our booth, or shared their imaging stories. We can’t wait to show you what else have in store with Merge imaging solutions in 2024.
