Question

What information should be collected to help with diagnosing Cúram verification engine issues?

Answer

In order to be better able to investigate issues relating to Cúram verification engine, the following information should be provided:

Configuration Data

  • If evidence broker is enabled, then the configuration data for both verification and evidence broker is required. Please refer to the Notes section below containing the steps to collect configuration data for verification and evidence broker.
  • If evidence broker is NOT enabled, then the configuration data for verification alone is required. Please refer to the Notes section below containing the steps to collect the configuration data for verification.

Continuous Logs

  • If the problem reported is happening for a continuous duration (say, for X days), then the complete set of logs for the whole duration need to be collected.

Performance

If the reported problem is related to performance, then please refer the following tech notes for appropriate data collection.

Customization

  • Have any of the areas within verifications undergone customization?
  • If so, please list the customised APIs and provide a brief reason for the customization.

Conditional Verification

  • If the problem reported is a result of conditional verification, then the following information should be provided.

The propagator configuration information – this includes:

  • the type of the evidence
  • the propagator name
  • the associated rule class

Notes

Please make use of Configuration Transport Manager (CTM) to export configuration data related to the verification engine.

  • Please refer to the section Setting Up Configuration Transport Manager in the Cúram Transport Manager Guide to set up the CTM environment.
  • The name of the business object that contains verification configuration data is Verification.
  • This business objects along with the dependent business objects, if any, need to be identified through the CTM screens and then the configuration data needs to be exported.

Please make use of CTM to export configuration data related to evidence broker.

  • Please refer to the section Setting Up Configuration Transport Manager in the Cúram Configuration Transport Manager Guide to set up the CTM environment.
  • The name of the business object that contains evidence broker configuration data is Evidence Broker.
  • These business objects along with the dependent business objects, if any, need to be identified through the CTM screens and then the configuration data needs to be exported.
